The ZSO Oberthurgau is responsible for civil protection in the following municipalities: Amriswil, Arbon, Dozwil, Egnach, Hefenhofen, Horn, Kesswil, Roggwil, Romanshorn, Salmsach, Sommeri, Uttwil
Due to the reorientation of the commander, the ZSO Oberthurgau is looking for a committed and competent personality as of 01.05.2026 or by arrangement, as
Civil Protection Commander (60-80%)
Your tasks;
- Leading the Oberthurgau Civil Protection Organization (training and deployment)
- Ensuring material and personnel readiness for deployment
- Implementation of the legal mandate and the cantonal and federal requirements
- Planning and conducting training and refresher courses
Requirements;
- Completed commander training in civil protection or a leadership position in the military or a partner organization of civil protection and willingness to complete the commander training in civil protection
- Initiative, independent working style
- Organizational and motivational talent
- Leadership qualities with assertiveness
- Willingness to perform irregular and unpredictable work assignments
- Good IT skills
- Pleasant manners and friendly, confident appearance
- Impeccable reputation
