Job Description
We are looking for a deputy head of nursing for our surgical ward starting from 01.08.2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks:
- Active, goal-oriented leadership and promotion of employees on the surgical ward within the framework of a cooperative leadership style together with the head of nursing and the second deputy head of nursing
- Ensuring optimal personnel deployment planning
- Assisting in the selection of new employees in collaboration with the management team
- Responsibility for the introduction of new employees and trainees
- Participation in maintaining the ward's budget in collaboration with the management team
- Support in organizing and conducting regular team meetings
- Ensuring successful training of trainees, in cooperation with the vocational training officer and trainers
- Promoting a good corporate culture and a positive working atmosphere
- Responsible for coordinating, planning, and organizing workflows
- Ensuring appropriate nursing and care quality
- Co-responsible for achieving departmental goals
- Responsible for safe, appropriate, and resource-oriented nursing and care of patients and their relatives
- Assessing, monitoring, and ensuring nursing quality with the management team and nursing expert, even in complex care situations
Qualifications
- You have training as a nursing specialist FH/HF and have already gained professional experience in an acute hospital
- You are an independent, competent, and innovative personality willing to take responsibility and cooperate in a team
- Your working style is careful, precise, and independent
- Good organizational and communication skills characterize you
