The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (DPhW) at the University of Basel is an internationally leading center for research and teaching. For our study coordination, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant from 1 May 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
You support the study coordination in all areas of coordination and organization of the Bachelor and Master programs offered at the DPhW.- Coordination of appointments and rooms for all courses
- Preparation of lecture and practical schedules
- Scheduling and organization of exams, including recording and conducting online exams (e.g., on iPads)
- Management of teaching assignments
- Planning and conducting course evaluations
- Support in organizing information events related to teaching
- Assistance in planning, organizing, and conducting the graduation ceremony at the department
- Maintenance of digital communication platforms such as website, Pharma blog, ADAM (learning platform)
In your hub function, you work with internal and external lecturers, central HR, Student Services, the Dean's Office, and technical services.
Your profile
You are a motivated, service-oriented, innovative, team-capable, and well-organized person. You have a commercial or comparable education, write and speak German confidently, and have very good English skills. Experience in a coordinating or assistant position is an advantage; knowledge of the university environment is helpful.You work reliably and confidently in all administrative matters. You enjoy working with digital tools and new IT applications, are open to new systems, and have a good flair for digital work processes (e.g., online exams, evaluation tools, learning platforms). Since the administrative workload is closely tied to the university semester cycle, you enjoy working with a high degree of independent work and time management.
