Make your mark for patients
We are looking for an Industrial Lead Bio Drug Substance who is proactive, strategic, and quality-oriented to join our Industrialization & Network Planning team, based in our Bulle office in Switzerland.
About the role
As an Industrial Lead Bio Drug Substance, you will develop and implement industrialization and manufacturing strategies for late-stage development and commercial products. You will also manage strategic project portfolios, ensure supply network readiness, and act as a subject matter expert supporting CMC activities.
Who you’ll work with
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, manufacturing leaders, and technical experts. You’ll work closely with internal development groups, UCB manufacturing sites, and external CMOs to ensure strategic alignment and delivery across the product lifecycle.
What you’ll do
• Develop long-term industrial plans for Bio Drug Substance manufacturing
• Manage strategic project portfolios and lead lifecycle activities
• Ensure alignment of development strategies with industrial capabilities
• Assess and mitigate risks across the supply and process lifecycle
• Support regulatory submissions and product launch readiness
• Act as SME in manufacturing governance and technical discussions
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
• University degree in science, engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharma or biotech manufacturing or industrialization
• Strong knowledge of Bio Drug Substance development and supply processes
• Experience in project and portfolio management within cross-functional teams
• Understanding of regulatory and cGMP requirements in biologics
• Fluency in English, with excellent communication and documentation skills
