Department:DSJSEntity:Statistics Service (STAT)Activities:As an artificial intelligence (AI) expert, you work closely with the cantonal AI delegate and are responsible for projects related to artificial intelligence and data science. In this context, you perform advanced analyses in various fields (public health, finance, labor market, etc.). You develop and implement innovative solutions in machine learning, deep learning, and big data to enhance statistical data and support decision-making. Additionally, you ensure the preparation and exploitation of large databases. Furthermore, you produce reports, visualizations, and statistical dashboards for authorities and the public. You also participate in the creation and dissemination of AI-related training within the cantonal administration and its partners and actively collaborate with state services, municipalities, and the Swiss statistical system. Finally, you document your work, propose improvement avenues, and contribute to the enhancement and dissemination of the canton’s statistical data.Desired profile:Holder of a university master’s degree or an equivalent diploma in artificial intelligence, data science, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, physics, or computer science, you have 2 to 3 years of professional experience in AI and data science. A doctorate in these fields is an asset. You possess strong skills in planning and managing complex and multidisciplinary projects. Moreover, you have excellent command of languages (Python, R) and tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) related to machine learning, data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, RStudio, Tableau+), and databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server). You demonstrate good knowledge of the functioning of political and administrative institutions as well as the missions of public statistics, along with strong skills in English and German.
