Activities
- Strategic leadership and further development of Real Estate City of Bern (ISB) as a competence center for all municipal real estate
- Support of the City Council in matters of comprehensive real estate policy for the municipal real estate portfolio; shaping and pre-negotiation of internal administrative and political decision-making processes
- Farsighted and networked management of the properties of the administrative and financial assets, especially the properties of the municipal fund for land and housing policy with around 2500 apartments, 440 commercial and turnover leases, and 400 building rights, according to the principles of sustainable development
- Leading the ISB administrative unit with around 550 employees and a real estate portfolio valued at around 4.2 billion Swiss francs
- The area of responsibility is very heterogeneous and includes strategic portfolio management, site and real estate development, real estate management (including facility management), construction, and finance.
Profile
- University or university of applied sciences degree with advanced training in the real estate sector
- Proven leadership qualities in a heterogeneous work environment
- Profound expertise, project management, and management knowledge in real estate, holistic real estate development and management, urban planning issues, and sustainable construction
- Strong understanding of political processes with very good knowledge of work processes in public administration
- Excellent negotiation skills and high competence in handling complex situations with various stakeholders
