A family affair since 1908 - the somewhat different five-star hotel in one of the most beautiful regions of Switzerland.
After many years of dedicated and successful work, our long-standing 1st housekeeper will retire in autumn 2026.
As part of the succession planning for this responsible position, we are looking for an experienced and strong leader to take over the management of our housekeeping team with enthusiasm, care, and attention to detail starting from the summer season 2026 on June 1, 2026 – and to continue carrying forward the high quality and special spirit of Waldhaus Sils together with us.
Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the planning, organization, and control of the entire housekeeping area including the lingerie and in-house laundry
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient daily routine as well as optimal deployment and resource planning of the team (currently a team of 35 employees)
- Ensuring the highest cleanliness and quality standards in all guest rooms, public areas, offices, and staff accommodations
- Active participation in shaping and monitoring compliance with internal quality guidelines as well as the standards of Preferred Hotels & Resorts
- Responsibility for the organization and control of laundry supply as well as uniform management
- Conducting inventories, determining needs, and ordering cleaning and consumable materials considering economic aspects
- Professional and personal leadership, motivation, and development of employees
- Creation, control, and optimization of duty and vacation schedules as well as monitoring working hours
- Ensuring compliance with all operational guidelines, safety, and hygiene standards
- Responsibility for the training, supervision, and promotion of apprentices and interns
- Interface to guests and between various departments and suppliers
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in housekeeping, hotel management, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in a similar leadership position in upscale hospitality
- Good German and Italian skills in spoken and written form; English skills desirable, additional foreign languages an advantage
- Openness to changes and further developments
- Affinity for digital applications and willingness to introduce and use new systems
- High quality standards and a keen eye for detail
- Strong, motivating, and empathetic leadership personality
- Communicative team player with organizational talent
- Good knowledge of MS Office programs
