Laundry agents in hospital logistics
The laundry department is looking for several laundry agents for positions between 60% – 100% (permanent contract). Start dates are planned from February 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospital institutions worldwide according to the 2025 Newsweek magazine ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) is tasked with ensuring that care, teaching, and research units can fully focus on their core business by providing and developing efficient logistical operational services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilization, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.).
The Bed and Laundry Center is attached to the Transfers and Patient Devices service (TDP). It ensures the distribution, cleaning, and disinfection of beds, as well as the management of laundry and professional clothing intended for patients and staff.
Mission
- You ensure the distribution of laundry and professional clothing in the units
- You are responsible for washing and maintaining patient laundry on certain sites
- You use, clean, and maintain vehicles (transport carts), tools, and equipment provided
- You perform simple sewing activities related to the function
- You ensure a clean, safe work environment compliant with safety rules
- You contribute to the flow of information and continuous improvement of your unit's services
- You work according to a variable schedule (day, evening, weekend, public holidays, on-call service).
Profile
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in maintenance, hospitality, or a similar role
- You have a good command of spoken and written French (minimum B2)
- You are comfortable with common office tools
- You are recognized for your punctuality, autonomy, and team spirit
- You place great importance on the quality of your work.
