Workshop Instructor – Trainer: Electronics Production (100%)
The MSW is a training center of the city of Winterthur for technical apprenticeships in the field of mechatronics. Thanks to the combination of the three learning locations under one roof, theory and practice can be optimally coordinated. This comprehensive training enables learners to transfer to the university of applied sciences, and the MSW is an alternative to academic education. The MSW trains apprentices in the professions of polymechanics, automation, and electronics. To strengthen our team of electronics technicians, we are looking for a committed and motivated workshop instructor / trainer as of September 1, 2026, or by arrangement. If you have a passion for electronics and enjoy working with young people, we look forward to receiving your application. In this role, you will take on a variety of tasks in vocational education and support our learners on their path into the professional world.Your Tasks
- Training, guidance, and leadership of apprentices in the 3rd and 4th year of training according to the specifications of the SBFI and the MSW mission statement
- Conveying theoretical and practical expertise in electronics production
- Preparing learners for the qualification procedure and individual support in talent development
- Practical integration into real production processes through close cooperation between training and manufacturing
- Introduction and application of lean methods (5S, Kaizen, value stream analysis) as well as promotion of the continuous improvement process
Your Profile
- Completed training as an electronics technician EFZ with HF further education or equivalent qualification, ideally with further education as a vocational school instructor or trainer or willingness to complete this
- Solid expertise in electronics manufacturing (SMD and THT) as well as experience in leading and developing a production department
- Networked, customer- and process-oriented thinking, complemented by experience or interest in lean methods (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, CIP)
- Knowledge in schematic and layout creation (or willingness to learn)
- Very good MS Office user skills
