A head nurse of a Care Unit in the Department of Psychiatry
The General Psychiatry Service of the CHUV is looking for a head nurse of Care Units at 80%, from January 1, 2026 or to be agreed, for its Chauderon Outpatient Consultations (Lausanne-center).
Context
The Chauderon Consultations bring together several structures of the General Psychiatry Service.
- Reception and brief intervention Consultation, this structure receives people feeling the need to carry out a psychiatric assessment or evaluation
- Couple-family Consultation, this structure welcomes couples and families who wish to benefit from therapeutic care in order to resolve a crisis situation and to promote the establishment of a new balance corresponding to the needs of each
- Consultation for young adults in training who encounter difficulties related to their training (concentration problems, loss of motivation, failure), symptoms (low mood, anxiety) or relational difficulties (love life, family, social)
- "Karl Jaspers" Consultation specialized in the treatment of people presenting anxiety, mood and personality disorders
- "Eugène Minkowski" Consultation offers a specialized approach to people who develop early psychosis or suffer from schizophrenia spectrum disorders
- TIPP Program Treatment and early intervention in psychotic disorders is dedicated to the detection and early intervention of early psychotic disorders. It is aimed at young adults between 18 and 35 years old and consists of two components of detection and early intervention:
- The ARMS (At-Risk Mental States) component for young adults who present psychological difficulties (withdrawal,
depression, new difficulties and school absenteeism, obsessions, etc.) which may be related to
the emergence of attenuated psychotic experiences
- the First episode psychosis component for young adults with an acute, early and untreated psychosis.
Mission
- You organize the activities of the nursing teams of the K. Jaspers and E. Minkowski sections
- You motivate, guide and supervise the care team in its tasks and development
- You ensure the efficiency of patient care in outpatient structures and the quality of care provided taking into account institutional reference frameworks
- You organize, support and supervise teaching activities, staff training, students and interns
- You participate in the integration of multidisciplinary team members and in teaching given internally and externally.
Profile
- You hold a HES nurse diploma (or an equivalent title considered), as well as recognition from the Red Cross or a positive PreCheck for diplomas obtained abroad (required)
- You have a CAS in proximity management (or an equivalent title considered), or are willing to acquire it
- You have at least five years of clinical experience in psychiatry
- You have proven clinical skills in managing patients in crisis situations
- You have held responsibilities within a care unit
- You have a good knowledge of the Vaud socio-health network
- You demonstrate ease in communication and network work.
