The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. In collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The Internal Medicine Department is a reference center for non-surgical acute care, notably in pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, palliative care, internal medicine, and intermediate care.
Physiotherapists work across all internal medicine units with hospitalized patients in acute care, with sometimes complex and always varied care.
The activity revolves around four main areas:

- swallowing
Interprofessional work and evidence-based recommendations are at the heart of daily practice.

You ensure the identification, planning, execution, and evaluation of physiotherapy services in preventive, curative, palliative, and educational fields, respecting professional and institutional standards.
- You actively participate in the organization of work and continuity of unit activities, thanks to your communication and interprofessional coordination skills.
- You develop prevention actions, health promotion, functional rehabilitation, and social reintegration.
- You contribute to the continuous improvement of services based on evidence and actively participate in the development of the profession.
Profile
You hold a Bachelor of Science in physiotherapy (or an equivalent title recognized by the Red Cross, mandatory).
- You have experience in geriatrics or acute care.
- You have the ability to manage acute and complex clinical situations.
- You are open to change and motivated to evolve in a demanding university environment.
