Gamekeeper
Office for Hunting and Fisheries Graubünden | DIEM | 60% | Vicosoprano
The Office for Hunting and Fisheries is responsible for the wildlife populations, fish stocks, and their habitats in the canton of Graubünden. Many species such as capercaillie, black grouse, rock ptarmigan, hoopoe, and riverbank sandpiper have distribution focal points in Graubünden. In recent years, large predators such as the wolf and lynx, and occasionally the bear, have also migrated back to Graubünden.
As a gamekeeper, you work under the guidance of the district gamekeeper chief and fisheries supervisor and perform conservation, fishery management, hunting planning, as well as hunting and fishery police functions. You are well acquainted with the designated area of operation and its waters.
- Monitoring of wildlife populations, fish stocks, and their habitats in Bergell
- Monitoring of various wildlife and fish species
- Support of the fisheries supervisor in Fishery District IV Inn/Maira, part Bergell
- Supervision of the Palza fish farm during the rearing period
- Completed vocational training
- Physical fitness
- Practical experience in hunting and fishing in the canton of Graubünden
- Knowledge of wildlife and fish species and their habitats
- Shooting skills
- Independent and responsible working style
- Willingness to perform on-call duty
- Driver's license category B
- Completion of 20th year of age
- Fluent in Italian and German, spoken and written
- Good computer user skills
