 The Role 
As a Senior Solution Engineer – also known as Presales Engineer, Sales Consultant, or Solution Consultant – you will play a pivotal role in helping our customers in the Manufacturing industry transform how they engage with their customers using Salesforce.
 
You’ll act as the trusted technical advisor in the sales process – understanding customer challenges, designing the right solutions, and demonstrating how Salesforce technology delivers measurable business value.
 
While experience with AI and automation is a strong plus, this role is not limited to AI specialists. We’re looking for a versatile Solution Engineer who is curious about new technology, comfortable with light coding or integration work, and able to connect business needs to technical possibilities.

 Your Responsibilities 
-  Partner with Account Executives to understand customer needs and propose tailored Salesforce solutions. 
-  Build and deliver impactful product demonstrations, technical deep-dives, and engaging presentations that tell a compelling story. 
-  Translate complex technology into clear business value for both IT and business audiences. 
-  Manage and support proofs of concept (POCs). 
-  Be a trusted advisor to manufacturing customers, aligning Salesforce solutions with their digital and operational priorities. 
-  Stay current with Salesforce’s evolving product portfolio, including Data Cloud, AI, and automation capabilities. 
-  Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to share customer feedback and shape future innovation. 
-  Work autonomously, organizing your work effectively in a fast-changing environment. 
 
Your Qualifications
-  Excellent communicator who is confident presenting to customers and large audiences. 
-  Technically curious – able to understand system integrations, APIs, and optionally write small code snippets (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Apex). 
-  Structured, self-organized, and comfortable working with ambiguity. 
-  Strong interest in AI, automation, or digital transformation topics. 
-  Team-oriented, proactive, and creative problem solver. 
-  Proficient in English and German; French is a plus. 
 
Preferred Qualifications
-  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 
-  4+ years of experience in a technical presales, solution engineering, or consulting role. 
-  Hands-on experience with Salesforce or another enterprise SaaS platform (certifications are a plus). 
-  Familiarity with enterprise architecture, data, or integration concepts. 
-  Background or strong interest in the manufacturing industry is an advantage. 
-  Understanding of or curiosity about AI and automation technologies is a plus.
