Supervisory Commission for Lawyers
The High Court of the Canton of Zurich is, on one hand, an appellate instance in civil and criminal matters and also includes the Commercial Court. On the other hand, it is responsible for the independent administration of justice of the Zurich civil and criminal courts as well as for notarial services.
For the Supervisory Commission for Lawyers of the High Court of the Canton of Zurich, we are looking for a/n immediately or by agreement
Court Clerk - AK (50-60%)
Your area of responsibility
The task of the court clerks of the Supervisory Commission consists of drafting applications in all cases that fall within the jurisdiction and competence of the Commission. This particularly includes handling reports of violations of lawyer law as well as participating in the meetings of the Supervisory Commission with advisory voice, including the final editing of the exposés drafted by Commission members after the resolution. This also includes independent application in the proceedings for release from attorney-client privilege and the review of lawyer associations as well as the supervision of the commercial office in maintaining the attorney register. The substantive connection to all proceedings in civil and criminal law as well as administrative law is interesting. In addition, numerous organizational and IT projects need to be managed, as well as providing information to the over 4000 lawyers in the Canton of Zurich.
Your profile
Requirements for this diverse and demanding activity are very good legal knowledge (lawyer's license is an advantage) and at least two years of court experience. Furthermore, resilience, a very high degree of independence, an eye for the essentials, and enjoyment of written work complete your profile. A pronounced team spirit and flexibility in ensuring operational processes are of great importance.
