Justice Security and Care Specialist 80 - 100% 80 - 100%
At the Uitikon Measures Center (MZU), we support young men in the justice system with presence, structure, clarity, and relationship. Our security service plays a central role: both in the residential group and in the security lodge.
We are looking for a personality who can distinguish between closeness and distance. Who enforces rules without dominating. Who keeps a cool head in crises and shows composure in calm moments.
Your area of responsibility – two locations, one common mission
In the residential group
- You accompany and care for the young offenders in everyday life (getting up, leisure, meals, work)
- You support the daily structure. Calm, clear, and consistent
- You conduct body searches and control rounds
- You intervene de-escalatingly in conflicts
- You document security-relevant events
- You work closely with social educators, psychologists, and trainers
In the security lodge
- You operate and monitor technical systems (EMA, BMA, video surveillance, access, communication)
- You regulate and control entries and exits through the main entrance
- You conduct material checks, visitor monitoring, and medication management
- You coordinate with internal departments and emergency services
- You record events and maintain operations. Even in exceptional cases
What you bring
- You have completed basic training as well as further training(s) in the security field (e.g., FSB, FPO)
- You have experience in the justice, health, or social sector or in an institution that requires high presence and responsibility
- You are mentally and physically resilient, not just on paper
- You communicate clearly, factually, and respectfully, even in demanding situations
- You enjoy working in a team but are not afraid to take responsibility alone
- You have a clean record in both the criminal and debt enforcement registers
- You enjoy contact with people, appreciate a dynamic environment, and are looking for more than just a classic security task – then you are right with us
What you get and what you achieve
• You work varied and with real impact. Directly at the interface of technology, relationship and structure
• You are part of a connected, professional team that supports each other
• You will be carefully introduced and continuously trained (de-escalation, self-protection, emergency management, communication)
• You have the opportunity for further development (e.g., federal specialist certificate in correctional services)
• You work in shifts – which also means nights or weekends, but you have free time when others are stuck in traffic
• You receive fair employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines as well as good public transport connections and free parking
And how to apply
We look forward to your application without a cover letter, photo, or information about your marital status.
Do you have questions?
Christian Frösch, Deputy Head of Security Service – 044 498 21 32, will be happy to answer them.
Questions about the application process will be answered by Laurine Savoy, Recruitment and Assessment – 043 258 34 59
