Associate Psychologist - Psychiatric Crisis Unit Dedicated to Intellectual Disability
We are looking for an associate psychologist with a 60% activity rate for the Psychiatric Crisis Unit Dedicated to Intellectual Disability (UPCHM) of the Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders Service (STSA) within the Department of Psychiatry in Cery.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Psychiatry (DP) addresses all three life stages. It brings together the Central, West, and North psychiatric sectors of the canton. Its mission is the comprehensive and multidisciplinary care of children, adolescents, adults, and elderly people suffering from mental disorders.
The Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders Service is a structure of the CHUV psychiatry department dedicated to autism spectrum disorders. It coordinates and brings together all the structures attached to it in the canton of Vaud, structures involved in supporting people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) throughout their life course, and plays a reference role in the canton of Vaud.
Composed of a tertiary center, hospitalization and diagnostic units, regional structures, its activity is carried out in close partnership with professionals working with the structures and professionals involved in autism spectrum disorders.
It consists of multidisciplinary teams integrating psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, neuropediatricians, nurses, psychomotor therapists, speech therapists, specialized educators, and researchers who work in close collaboration.
The missions of the Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders Service focus on diagnosis, care, and support of minors and adults with ASD, network training, and clinical research. The structures attached to the ASD service include the cantonal autism center, regional diagnostic branches, two early intervention centers and a specialized kindergarten class, mobile teams for children/adults, a mental development psychiatry section, hospitalization units, a CHUV reception system for people with autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability, and support groups.
The position's mission is part of a multidisciplinary team.
Mission
- You autonomously ensure clinical activities of supervision and care of patients in the Psychiatric Crisis Unit Dedicated to Intellectual Disability (UPCHM)
- You participate in postgraduate and continuing education and supervise assistant psychologists and interns, as well as, if applicable, other members of the interprofessional team
- You provide training to network professionals internally and externally
- You assume management and leadership tasks within the unit
- You contribute to research projects and/or the development of practices in the field of these units, or even the service.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology
- You have obtained your OFSP specialization title in psychotherapy or an equivalent title
- You have expertise in autism spectrum disorders
- You have in-depth knowledge of developmental, behavioral, and/or ABA approaches
- You have knowledge of the Vaud medico-social network and specialized Vaud institutions
- You have the capacity for work, interprofessional exchange, and networking.
