The Nature Museum of Graubünden is one of the three cantonal museums and provides information about the local nature. Every year, well over 30,000 people visit our exhibitions and take advantage of the rich offer of guided tours, presentations, courses, and excursions. The team consists of about 25 employees specialized in numerous fields of expertise. To ensure the smooth running of the museum's many activities, professional management of the exhibitions and the building's infrastructure through electronic data processing and IT tools is also essential.
Following the retirement of the current job holder, we are looking for a museum technician starting August 1, 2026, or by agreement.
For the Nature Museum of Graubünden, at the Office of Culture, we are looking for a museum technician for our team starting August 1, 2026, or by agreement.
- Substitute for the custodian: museum maintenance, management and upkeep of technical systems, care of live animals
- Setup, dismantling, and transport of exhibitions inside and outside the museum
- On-call service
- Setup and support of infrastructure and technology during conferences, courses, etc.
- Collaboration in managing electronic data processing/IT of the Nature Museum
- "All-rounder" with completed vocational training and excellent technical and manual skills
- Solid IT knowledge and electronic data processing skills as well as eagerness and willingness to familiarize yourself with new tools
- Organizational skills, fast, independent and precise working method, high ability to handle large workloads, and flexibility for occasional evening or weekend shifts
- Teamwork attitude, high motivation, and good communication
- Interest in nature-related topics and museum activities
