The City Police of Aarau is looking for a police trainee starting October 1, 2026. Your main tasks: Are you ready to ensure law and order? Do you want to be part of a dynamic team and guarantee the safety of our society? Then you are exactly right with us! You will complete the basic police training at the Intercantonal Police School in Hitzkirch over about 11 months and then the preliminary exam for the federal professional examination before completing the second year of training in the City Police corps in shift work (2 day shifts, two night shifts, followed by 4 days off). The training ends with the federal professional examination. The shift work provides you with planning security for your private activities, family, and friends. Your profile: Swiss citizenship; completed police requirement test (https://zukunftpolizei.ch); good physical and mental resilience as well as quick comprehension; good general education and impeccable reputation; high social competence, communication, and teamwork skills; IT experience, technical understanding, and confident German; driver's license category B.
