Your responsibilities:
Financial Ownership & Close Leadership
- Own subscription-based revenue bookings and recognition and ensure billing accuracy through close collaboration with the Commercial and Operations teams to drive and improve the revenue process.
- Co-lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Review key balance sheet accounts, accruals, and estimates, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and documentation on both group and subsidiary level.
Accounting & Compliance
- Ensure accounting practices comply with applicable accounting standards
- Maintain strong internal controls and documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support for upcoming audits and serve as a key contributor to the IFRS transition project.
Projects, Systems & Process Improvement
- Lead and drive various accounting-related projects.
- Identify inefficiencies and design scalable solutions to support growth and increasing complexity.
- Support improvements to ERP systems, reporting structures, and accounting policies
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner closely with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and operational functions to ensure alignment on financial reporting and accounting implications.
- Provide guidance and technical accounting support to stakeholders across the business.
- Support and backup the other functions in the accounting team when needed.
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a strong and collaborative accounting function.
Your Experience:
- 6–10+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting, ideally with a combination of audit and in-house experience.
- Strong track record of owning and driving month-end close in a structured and efficient manner.
- Experience operating in environments with high standards of compliance, audit, and reporting discipline.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (and/or equivalent professional qualification, e.g., ACCA, CPA).
- Strong proficiency in Excel, and ability to work efficiently with large datasets and reconciliations.
