Administrative Assistant Team Labor Market Supervision, limited for 1 year 60%The Directorate of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.zh.ch/vd) oversees the Office for Labor, the Office for Economy, the Office for Mobility, as well as administratively the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV).
In the interest of employees and companies, the Office for Economy (AWI) contributes to strengthening the Zurich location. The competencies are located with around 100 employees in the areas of location promotion, work permits, labor relations, labor inspection, and economics.
The labor relations area is active in the implementation of accompanying measures. Wage and undeclared work controls are carried out, compliance with the reporting obligation is checked, the Posted Workers Act is enforced, the Federal Act on Measures to Combat Undeclared Work is implemented, and the labor market is monitored regarding compliance with local, professional, and industry-standard wages. The offices of the Tripartite Commission of the Canton of Zurich (TPK) as well as the Conciliation Office are also located in this area.
To strengthen the existing Labor Market Supervision team at the Zurich Vulkanstrasse location, we are looking for a new team member immediately. The position is limited to 1 year.
Your tasks:
- You check wage comparisons for postings from the EU/EFTA area in sectors with generally binding collective labor agreements
- You impose administrative fines or service bans if wage and working conditions are not complied with
- You also monitor the documentation obligation for self-employed foreign service providers and impose sanctions if necessary
Your profile:
- You have completed a 3-year commercial apprenticeship (EFZ) and bring several years of experience in demanding administrative work
- You are interested in legal issues; experience in enforcement is a plus
- Your oral and written expression in German and English is confident; other languages are welcome
- You work in a structured manner, like to plan and decide independently and responsibly
- You bring a high quality awareness and very good MS Office skills
