Starting from the autumn semester, as of August 1, 2026, a

Lecturer in Music Theory in Media Composition 10–30% (m/f/d)

is to be awarded to an innovative personality with proven teaching experience at the university level.


We are looking for a personality who conveys music theory, composition, and media theory in film, theater, and media at an artistically and technically high level in a contemporary and understandable way. The teaching assignment includes instruction in ear training, harmony, form theory, analysis, and current music in group and individual lessons.

We expect a completed degree in theory, profound knowledge in media composition and theory, as well as proven artistic activity. You bring experience as a university lecturer and are willing to engage in the faculty and contribute to the further development of media composition at the university.

The trial lessons will take place on Friday, April 10, and will be conducted publicly at the university.
