The Financial Administration is the central financial service office of the Canton of Thurgau.
The Payroll Department is responsible for the monthly payroll processing of all employees of the Cantonal Administration of Thurgau.
We are looking for a Payroll Accountant for our team from February 2026 or by arrangement
Your main tasks
- Payroll processing with a focus on the judiciary (courts, correctional services, KESB)
- Recording of entries, exits, and transfers including withholding tax, processing of family allowances, clarifications regarding various social insurances, and much more
- Handling telephone and written inquiries from cantonal employees regarding payroll-related questions
- Checking data entered by offices/businesses and ensuring high data quality
- Supporting the team during the monthly payroll run
Your profile
You have a commercial or comparable education and sound knowledge in payroll and social insurance. You are used to working precisely and in a structured manner and have a networked way of thinking.
Your several years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in larger organizations, and good knowledge of Abacus Payroll and Abacus payroll runs will benefit you.
