With nearly 1,200 employees, the Department of Acute Medicine (DMA) includes the anesthesiology, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, intensive care, and emergency services. It fulfills a fourfold mission through its services, which provide their expertise in frequent interaction with all Geneva University Hospitals, thanks to a transversal platform, aiming to ensure the best possible patient care.
The adult intensive care unit cares for adult patients who present or are in immediate danger of developing vital organ failures due to a pathology or its complications, whether medical or surgical, and whose life is generally at risk. It also advises and intervenes as needed during resuscitation situations in other HUG departments and participates in urgent hospital interventions.
Job Description
As part of a reorganization in a context of continuous improvement of the quality of work life for professionals and the quality of care for patients, we are strengthening our adult intensive care medical team (resuscitation).
In this new organization, conducive to a work-life balance, you will ensure the care of patients in the adult intensive care unit (resuscitation) and actively participate in the training and supervision activities of the department's resident doctors, research activities, as well as the development of intensive care medicine.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or an equivalent recognized by the FOPH (MEBEKO) and the right to practice in the canton of Geneva. A specialty title in intensive care medicine is an asset.
For non-French-speaking candidates, a certified C1 level is required.
You have a minimum of two to three years of experience in intensive care medicine, resuscitation, or anesthesiology.
You are comfortable in communication, open-minded, a good listener, and have a synthetic mind.
You are a dynamic, flexible, enthusiastic, discreet, and tenacious person.
