The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 employees. The Rennaz Hospital Center has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. The main responsibilities of this position are
The Application Manager is responsible for the continuity, coherence, and evolution of the product in their domain. They orchestrate the run (deployments, vendor coordination, incident follow-up) and contribute to defining and implementing the product roadmap in connection with the business units and the Operations Manager (ROP). They may, when required, lead the deployment or migration of new applications, ensuring the security and quality of the service provided.
As the Product Lifecycle guarantor, the Application Manager ensures the link between the product vision and its evolution:
- In collaboration with business representatives, contributes to the product roadmap, plans evolutions, and coordinates the application lifecycle.
- Conducts workshops and produces functional specifications, validating the feasibility of requests.
- Writes test cases and related acceptance criteria.
- Ensures maintenance requests are taken into account.
- Makes sure the backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all.
- Ensures proper prioritization of activities and evolution requests with technical teams and partners.
Orchestrates RUN activities and ensures proper application of quality, security, and compliance processes (in coordination with the Operations Manager - ROP).
- Orchestrates deployments.
- Coordinates vendors.
- Supervises incidents and changes.
- Documents the deployment process for the production team.
- Defines recurring tasks to orchestrate and execute.
- In collaboration with operations referents (CISO, CIO, Head of Operation), ensures the update plan applicable to the product (patches, license updates, deployment of planned and urgent releases).
When required, leads the deployment of a new application or migration project, ensuring service continuity and technical coherence of the domain.
- Provides clear instructions to technical teams.
- Ensures teams build the correct functionality and operationalize the application according to detailed requirements.
- Enforces obligations and best practices related to the application (security, Data Protection, compliance & Regulation, methodology).
- Supports the Release Manager in planning.
- Participates in testing efforts (on the QAL environment) and application acceptance by the business.
- Guarantees application quality.
- Provides training and documentation materials for users.
Participates in product team coordination meetings and with other Application Managers.
We require
Degrees and experience
- A university degree at Bachelor level in computer science or an equivalent recognized title.
- 3 years of experience in application management or managing a group of applications.
- 3 years of experience in information systems architecture (healthcare domain is a plus).
- Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS or others).
- Knowledge of standard hospital protocols (HL7, FHIR, DICOM, etc.).
- At least 3 years of experience in a hospital environment (Switzerland or elsewhere) or healthcare domain.
- Knowledge of project management, from needs identification to service deployment.
- ITIL v3 or v4 certification.
- Good command of French, spoken and written.
- Knowledge of English, minimum level B1.
- Excellent mastery of standard productivity software (office, collaboration, BI).
