Nurse in the Pediatric Cardiology Unit
To strengthen its team, the Woman-Mother-Child Department (DFME) is looking, from March 1, 2026, for a nurse for its Pediatric Cardiology Unit, at an 80% activity rate.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, medical research, and training.
The Woman-Mother-Child Department (DFME) brings together the gynecology, obstetrics, neonatology, pediatrics, and child and adolescent surgery services. More than 1,500 professionals provide specialized and comprehensive care for women and children, from birth to adolescence.
The Pediatric Cardiology Unit is part of the mission of pediatric outpatient clinics, which provide primary and tertiary outpatient services, including follow-up of chronic patients and specialized consultations, in a multidisciplinary approach centered on the child and their family.
Mission
- You participate in outpatient consultation: welcoming patients, setting up, and taking vital signs
- You perform specialized technical care in pediatric cardiology: ECG, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, placement and reading of Holters, R-test, blood draws, venous access placement, injections, pump filling
- You collaborate closely and work in pairs with ASSC and reference nurses
- You ensure the sorting of exams and preparation of Holter results before medical validation
- You participate in the management of outpatient emergencies, including requests related to hospitalization (additional consultations, ECG, Holters)
- You participate in the rhythmology consultation
- You prepare external consultations as well as the necessary documents and devices
- You ensure the verification of equipment, including the emergency cart and specific equipment used.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
- You have experience in a similar position, ideally in pediatrics
- You demonstrate rigor, organizational skills, and good adaptability
- You are dynamic, positive, and appreciate working in a multidisciplinary team
- You master common computer tools.
Depending on profile and experience, the salary level will be between 8 and 9.
