Translator for the Romance Language
Registry Office | 80% | Chur (part-time home office possible)
We are looking for a Translator for the Romance Language for the Registry Office by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- You work in the Romance translation service and are responsible for translating voting proposals, consultations, decisions of the government and the Grand Council, media releases, and other texts for the media and the cantonal gazette, as well as texts from the Registry Office, departments, and divisions into Rumantsch Grischun and German.
- You also translate the updates of the Romance legal code, advise departments on language usage questions, review print templates, and occasionally participate in elections and votes.
What we expect from you
- This versatile role in an interesting field requires a personality with suitable training (e.g., translation or interpreting school, university degree).
- We expect flawless command of the Romance and German languages. Additional language skills are an advantage.
- Experience in translation and understanding of legal matters are desired.
- The position also requires good IT skills; experience with the translation program SDL-Trados/Multiterm is advantageous.
- Flexibility, strong teamwork skills, resilience, and initiative complete your profile.
