Providing orientation - Creating perspectives – Empowering
"HEKS Steps" of the Zurich/Schaffhausen office supports people with a refugee background on their path to employment. Participants are promoted in small steps in a supportive environment and with professional guidance.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an agile personality from February 1, 2026 or by arrangement, limited to one year (with the option of continued employment).
These are your main tasks:
- Evaluate the needs and competencies of refugees and accompany them in the professional integration process
- Acquisition and placement of external work assignments and support of participants
- Job coaching (creation of work integration plan, support in (apprenticeship) job search, development of application strategy, interview training)
- Collaboration and relationship management with clients, external counseling centers, and internal companies
- Case-related administration and reporting
- Maintaining contact & advising employers in the primary labor market
- Active participation in internal/external working groups on labor integration
- Participation & ensuring quality standards (IN-Qualis)
Ideally, you bring the following:
- Education in social or pedagogical field at tertiary level
- Qualified training or further education in coaching / counseling at least at CAS level or corporate mentoring with federal certificate
- Experience with the target group and intercultural competence
- Preferably experience in the field of professional integration
- Good networking and knowledge of the labor market including industry, professions & trends, experience in working with different stakeholders desired
- Communication and conversational skills / negotiation skills
- Enthusiasm for labor integration and working with migrants
- Independent as well as structured and efficient working style
- Willingness to travel to deployment companies and between the Zurich & Winterthur locations
- Solution-oriented, flexible, and resilient
- IT affinity, good user knowledge of Office programs, flair for e-collaboration tools
