Do you want to put theory into practice and further develop yourself in the field of risk management? Then you are exactly right with us! We are looking for motivated university graduates who want to contribute their analytical skills, enthusiasm for financial markets, and integrity in a versatile trainee program.

The Risk Management team monitors the risks of all products in asset management, from market risks, sustainability risks, liquidity risks to operational risks. At the same time, we act as an internal fitness coach and sparring partner to ensure a healthy risk culture in asset management.

We invest heavily in the development of our approximately 400 young talents and look forward to a talented and high-performing personality for our Focus Asset Management trainee program in the area of risk management. The assignments during the 18-month program are designed to be versatile and individual; besides the focus on risk management, further assignments to expand know-how in related areas are planned. Your tasks

Development and optimization of processes and methods for identifying, measuring, evaluating, and assessing risks taken at all levels of our asset management
Analysis and visualization of risks to make them visible
Preparation and presentation of ad hoc risk analyses on current market events
Proactive identification of operational risks and support in problem-solving
Handling risk topics in various asset classes such as equities, bonds, real estate, precious metals, private equity, and cross-cutting topics such as sustainability or operations

Your profile

Very good master's degree in finance, computer science, or natural sciences
Solid knowledge in financial mathematics, statistics, or risk models
Good programming skills, especially in Python and SQL
Understanding of machine learning tools such as deep learning and large language models (LLMs)
Basic knowledge of blockchain and scenario analysis is an advantage
Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with precise, independent, and structured working methods
Strong communication and expression skills in German and English
High integrity, sense of responsibility, and reliability
Ability to act ethically, professionally, and calmly even in demanding situations
