You gladly take on responsibility and contribute your expertise on the diverse safety topics in the university environment as part of a four-person team.

Start of work: Immediately or by arrangement
- You advance topics in occupational safety, health protection, occupational hygiene, ergonomics, and environmental protection according to legal regulations in the various fields of activity at ZHAW.
- You identify and document hazards and plan derived measures accordingly.
- You conduct internal audits.
- You further develop and implement the safety strategy and safety concepts of ZHAW.
- You support the event organization or can lead it if suitable.
- You coordinate safety topics with offices and authorities in your area.
- You conceptually prepare safety training and exercises and can organize and, if possible, conduct them.
- For this responsible role, you bring higher professional training and have already worked in the safety field, e.g., at an emergency services organization. Alternatively, a specialist with advanced training in occupational hygiene/safety engineering or a safety specialist with several years of professional experience, preferably in research or university settings, is also conceivable.
- Ideally, you bring leadership and project management experience. You can conceptually prepare safety topics and implement them effectively.
- You are able to assess safety-related issues also from a business perspective and possess routine methodological competence.
- You are characterized by a structured way of working, skillful prioritization, and target-group-appropriate communication of safety topics.
- You are familiar with leading an event organization from concrete situations.
- Furthermore, you cope well in a demanding environment with different expectations and requirements.
- In addition, you have high social competence and act solution-oriented.
- The willingness to perform special deployments in emergency situations completes your profile.

The main workplace is Winterthur. The area of operation includes all ZHAW locations in the canton of Zurich. You report to the Safety Officer (SIBE) and support them in the work process and in the event of an incident in the event organization. For career development, there is the possibility, if suitable, to take over the function of the Safety Officer after their retirement (2029).
