The Cantonal Therapeutic Products Control Zurich is the supervisory and licensing authority for the therapeutic products sector. As a cantonal and partly regional competence center, it controls the manufacture and wholesale of medicinal products as well as the dispensing and handling of therapeutic products. It issues the necessary permits for therapeutic product companies and for persons working in various health professions.
Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a proactive, team-oriented therapeutic products inspector 100% as of January 1, 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Checking quality assurance systems and compliance with therapeutic product regulations in medical and dental practices as well as outpatient medical and dental institutions and home pharmacies with regard to the handling of therapeutic products (specifically dispensing of medicinal products as well as maintenance and reprocessing of medical devices)
- Initiating administrative measures
- Providing specialist information and contributing to information leaflets
- Handling specific matters in close contact with professional colleagues in the office as well as other cantonal and federal authorities
Our requirements
- Completion of higher vocational training in healthcare as a nurse, druggist (HF/FH/BSc) or completed further training as a medical practice coordinator (MPK), pharmaceutical operations assistant FA, with proven knowledge in the areas of maintenance and reprocessing of medical devices as well as quality assurance
- Several years of professional experience in companies dealing with therapeutic products and thus solid knowledge of medicinal products approved in Switzerland, the medical devices used, and industry-standard quality assurance systems
- Excellent knowledge of specialist applications and information systems used in healthcare
- Skillful use of digital tools (inspections are carried out fully digitally)
- Reliable, resilient, and communicative personality with a confident appearance
- Quick comprehension and observation skills
- Ability to think analytically and fluency in oral and written expression in German
- Performance-oriented and structured working style even during periods of high workload
