Merchandising Design & Solutions Strategy Specialist
The Merchandising Design and Solutions Specialist leads the end-to-end design governance, production, and management of Point of Sale Materials (POSM), artworks, templates, and creative design systems (Papirfly). Acting as the brand’s design guardian, this role ensures all merchandising solutions:
Reflect brand standards and visual identity
Meet quality and material requirements
Fit consumer and channel needs
Deliver impactful and purposeful communication
The role collaborates with internal teams (Marketing, Graphic Design, CBU, Procurement) and external partners (agencies, vendors) to deliver innovative POSM concepts and efficient creative solutions while also managing automated/digital design systems for efficient and effective end to end creative requirements delivery.
As the Merchandising Design & Solutions Specialist, you will:
- Creative Agency & Systems Management
- Oversee third-party creative agencies and design systems to develop concepts, layouts, and campaigns across multiple platforms: BTL POSM, brand packaging, digital/e-commerce, social media, presentations, and web.
- Manage Papirfly/MyPOSM systems, including template development, updates, site maintenance, usage tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure creative outputs are aligned with brand guidelines and business objectives.
- POSM Solutions & Quality Assurance
- Lead the POSM development process from concept, artwork, prototyping, and costing to toolkit publication and CBU readiness.
- Establish POSM and merchandising material quality standards, SLAs, and vendor compliance guidelines.
- Manage the national POSM Solutions Menu and Toolkits, recommending standardized sets per outlet and channel type.
- Continuously ideate and develop innovative merchandising concepts tailored to consumer, trade, and brand needs.
- Maintain a library of online/offline design templates, ensuring consistency and timely refreshes
- Project Management
- Oversee the entire design and material development lifecycle from concept to approved prototype.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with clear prioritization and workflow efficiency.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and drive final approvals.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with brand teams, CBU, and Merchandising Strategy & Solutions Specialists to conceptualize and standardize POSM sets.
- Work closely with brand managers, agencies, and cross-functional teams to update and refresh MyPOSM/Papirfly templates and systems.
- Foster strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Arts, Communications, or Marketing.
3–5 years of relevant experience in a creative agency, FMCG, or multinational company.
Strong creative portfolio showcasing diverse work.
Solid grasp of typography, color theory, layout, and brand identity.
Knowledge of printing processes and digital production (a plus).
Proven experience managing projects and stakeholders.
Results-driven with excellent execution planning skills
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere) and MS Office.
Strong communication and presentation skills in English (oral and written).
Ability to conceptualize and design 2D/3D graphics and video content (a plus).
Strong project, vendor, and stakeholder management capabilities.
