The Department of Community and Primary Care Medicine (DMCPR) has the societal mission to provide access to quality care for all through proximity medicine, to ensure the management of minor medical and surgical emergencies, to promote prevention among citizens, to provide medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and to promote the health of travelers.
Due to the versatility of its skills, the Romand University Center of Forensic Medicine (CURML) is tasked with responding to all requests for expertise or advisory assistance in the medico-legal field, medical law, and doping analysis. Located in the Lake Geneva region, its area of competence operates at regional, national, and international levels.
Job Description
Within the Traffic Medicine and Psychology Unit (UMPT), attached to the CURML, you welcome, inform, and guide users and manage incoming telephone calls.
You organize consultations by managing the doctors' electronic schedules and preparing patient files. After consultations, you independently and promptly format and send expert reports. If necessary, you schedule additional medical examinations.
While responding to various requests, you independently carry out administrative activities related to your role such as monitoring patient files, managing mail and email, managing the unit team's schedules (doctors and psychologists), as well as billing and payment control.
You demonstrate proactivity in performing logistical tasks arising from secretarial life such as ordering, archiving, statistics, and workflow management.
Within the team, you develop a close relationship with your fellow secretary and ensure continuity of service during absences.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification and have 2 to 3 years of experience managing a secretariat. You master scientific and legal terminology. Previous experience in a public entity or in an academic or medico-legal environment is desirable.
You have excellent command of French, both spoken and written, and possess strong writing skills. Knowledge of English is an asset.
Comfortable with IT tools, you have an ECDL Advanced level for Word or are willing to take the corresponding training.
Flexible and autonomous, you demonstrate excellent organizational skills and can manage priorities efficiently. You are open to change and enjoy teamwork.
The position involves significant reception duties, both in person and by phone. It therefore requires a keen sense of contact, listening, and service, as well as a great ability to interact with diverse audiences. Finally, you know how to be discreet and strictly respect confidentiality rules related to the field of activity.
