The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. Kitchen Assistant (100%)
Profile:
The ideal candidate feels comfortable in a multicultural environment, knows how to manage interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders, can ensure quality while respecting established times and procedures, and is available according to service needs.
They pay attention to meeting the expectations and requests of internal and external clients, know how to establish effective and constructive relationships, and are oriented towards change and development.
They are precise, orderly, and punctual in performing tasks, always paying particular attention and sensitivity to hygiene, cleanliness, and waste reduction.
In addition to being able to work independently, they have a propensity for teamwork.
They are available to perform various activities and to work flexible shifts 7/7.
Tasks:
- collaborate with the kitchen brigade in the preparation and presentation of dishes, as well as in meal distribution;
- work with the dishwasher team performing all predefined tasks;
- collaborate with the catering team in the preparation of banquets, customer service, meal distribution;
- store or stock goods according to correct preservation methods, as well as materials, dishes, and equipment according to internal regulations;
- ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and order at every workstation and for every utensil and equipment;
- comply with regulations regarding waste separation and disposal.
Required qualifications:
- excellent knowledge of the Italian language, both spoken and written;
- knowledge of cleaning techniques and hygiene standards (HACCP);
- reliability, organization, and teamwork attitude;
- availability to perform heavy and varied work;
- knowledge of common computer tools;
- care in personal appearance;
- preferably holding a Federal Certificate of Competence (AFC) as a catering employee or standardized gastronomy; or a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFP) as a kitchen assistant.
