About the job
Your Tasks
- You support and empower nursing professionals from all areas of the Cantonal Hospital Aarau in the care of patients with oncological and oncological-hematological conditions.
- You accompany, train, and advise patients with oncological diseases across departments through direct clinical nursing practice or in a consultative setting.
- You take on the professional leadership as well as support and coaching of specialist and nursing experts in the Competence Team/ANP Oncology.
- You work directly in nursing with oncological patients in all areas (Surgery, Women & Children, Medicine).
- You create and update specialized SOPs, instructions, and concepts in collaboration with specialist/nursing experts and other professional groups.
- You lead and accompany projects within the framework of professional development in the field of oncology and ensure nursing quality in the oncological area.
- You implement Advanced Practice Nurse roles for oncological patients together with the Nursing Development Management.
- You jointly take the lead with the Oncology Center Mittelland in nursing audits/certifications in the field of oncology.
- You prepare current nursing quality indicators, initiate measures, plan evaluations, and delegate implementation to the specialist/nursing experts of the respective area.
- You develop strategic directions together with the Nursing Development Management.
- You ensure interprofessional collaboration through appropriate channels.
Your Profile
- Several years of professional experience in acute care (oncology nursing)
- Master of Science in Nursing or currently studying
- Leadership training (e.g., CAS) is an advantage or willingness to undertake it
- Understanding of strategic, operational, and scientific issues
- Professional demeanor and enthusiasm for further developing the specialties in an interprofessional team
