Medical Secretary for the Heart-Vessels and Surgery Departments
The Heart-Vessels Department (DCV) and the Surgery Department (DC) are looking for a medical secretary with a workload between 80% and 100%. The starting date is planned for February 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Heart-Vessels Department (DCV) brings together the angiological, cardiological, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery services of CHUV. All actors work together to offer personalized care to patients suffering from heart and vessel diseases. The DCV also constitutes a center of excellence in training and research.
The Surgery Department is ERAS labeled (international protocol specific to early recovery after surgery) in its many specialties. This approach significantly improves the postoperative course of our patients by actively involving them, allowing a quick return to normal life. It also supports fundamental research activities at the Swiss and international levels. It participates in the development of knowledge and the transfer of new technologies, such as robotics. It encourages teaching, quality of care, and clinical research to improve the health care offered to the population.
Mission
- You are responsible for typing consultation reports, discharge letters, operative protocols, and insurance reports for a dedicated scope of the inpatient services of the Heart-Vessels Department (DCV) and the Surgery Department (DC)
- You manage the administrative follow-up of the patient file, respecting the confidentiality of their data and the current directives
- You ensure telephone contact with your partners within the services, medical offices, and any other person related to your activity
- You contribute to the quality, development, and improvement of the service's performance while promoting the pooling of activities within your team.
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification, complemented by a recognized medical secretary diploma
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position
- You master common computer tools, and knowledge of institutional software is a real asset (Soarian, Axya, Ultragenda, and Hellip)
- You have strong writing skills and perfect spelling in French, allowing you to produce high-quality written documents
- You are responsible, autonomous, and organized; you know how to identify and manage priorities
- You demonstrate rigor and discretion
- You have an easy sense of contact and appreciate teamwork.
