Operations Director (100%)
Responsibilities of the position
• Manage and optimize all operational activities of the network to guarantee a safe, reliable, efficient, and customer-oriented service, in compliance with current standards;
• Supervise the organization of operations, service planning, and network fluidity;
• Lead and unite the operational teams (approximately 1,500 collaborators), with a spirit of proximity, listening, and cohesion;
• Promote cross-functionality and collaboration;
• Ensure the safety of passengers and collaborators;
• Anticipate and manage crisis situations ensuring service continuity;
• Define and monitor performance indicators (punctuality, availability, customer satisfaction, operating costs), with a spirit of continuous improvement;
• Ensure proper management and monitoring of the budget for their activity sector;
• Maintain constructive dialogue with social partners and develop strong relationships with stakeholders in the Geneva regional ecosystem;
• Actively contribute to modernization, innovation, and energy transition projects;
Profile sought
• tpg is looking for a charismatic and unifying Operations Director, endowed with a keen sense of human management and proximity to the field;
• Higher education (Master's level) in engineering, management, transport, or equivalent;
• Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management in the public transport sector;
• Excellent skills in managing large and diverse teams; a taste for the field and strong interpersonal skills;
• Rigour, organization, and structured mindset, combined with great adaptability;
• Political awareness and understanding of the Geneva context; ability to engage constructively with social partners;
• Language skills: perfect command of French, very good knowledge of English and German is an asset;
