Clinical Neurophysiology Technician at the Department of Neurosciences
The Polyclinic of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences is looking for a clinical neurophysiology technician with an activity rate between 80% and 100%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) brings together the Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neuropsychology, and Neurorehabilitation Services, the Leenaards Memory Center, the Neuroscience Research Center, as well as the Spinal Surgery Service. It offers integrated and personalized care to patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, from the brain to the muscle.
The DNC polyclinic service consists of the Specialized Neurophysiology Unit, which provides clinical care, diagnosis, and follow-up for patients presenting neurological problems and conditions.
Mission
- You perform prescribed neurophysiological diagnostic recordings, applying the protocols, care, and monitoring measures specific to the service
- You take care of patients during the diagnostic procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and responding to their specific needs
- You ensure first-line maintenance of recording devices, according to the procedures provided and in collaboration with the staff responsible for their maintenance.
Profile
This position would suit a dynamic person with a sense of responsibility and initiative, good interpersonal skills, and an interest in academic neurophysiology.
- You hold a federal specialist certificate in neurophysiological diagnostics or have an equivalent recognized qualification
- You show a strong interest in the care and follow-up of chronic outpatient patients
- You master French orally and in writing, and have good knowledge of scientific English
- You are comfortable with common office and IT tools (Windows environment)
- You have good mastery of the computerized patient record (SOARIAN), as well as documentation and prescription aspects
- You demonstrate ease in interdisciplinary work, strong interpersonal skills, good autonomy, and a keen sense of organization.
