Your new role
As an employee of the Population Services of the City of St.Gallen, you work at the pulse of the city and experience its diversity daily. You contribute with your commitment to an attractive and livable city. The Population Services are the first point of contact at the city administration. You handle registration matters such as registrations, deregistrations, and changes of address as well as the residence regulation of Swiss citizens or foreign nationals. You issue official documents, certify signatures for initiatives/referendums, provide information within the framework of data protection regulations, and thus fulfill important tasks of official registry management.
This position is for you if
- You have a commercial education, ideally in public administration.
- You have professional experience from a municipal or city administration.
- You find needs-based solutions for the residents of our city within the framework of the legal mandate.
- Careful and precise work are among your strengths.

The Population Services are the business card and first point of contact for residents of the city in the town hall. They provide various important services around registration and civil status matters, administer naturalizations and the conciliation office for rental/lease relationships, act as a control office for health insurance, and organize votes and elections.
