In Orpund (approx. 3200 inhabitants), around 280 children are taught in 11 primary classes and 4 kindergartens by a motivated team of around 60 teachers. The school building is located in a preferred green area near the forest. We are a suburban community of Biel, which is quickly accessible by bus.

Tasks
You will teach from Wednesday to Friday (Wed and Fri morning, Thu whole day) in the subjects German, Mathematics, NMG, BG as a teacher in the 1st/2nd grade. The class teacher position is shared with the teacher who is already teaching the class and is compensated with 2.5%. There is close cooperation with the existing class team (class teacher, special education teacher, and specialist teachers). Of the 14 lessons, 2L are team teaching, 2L half-class teaching, 4L with the school special education teacher, 2L with class assistance, and 2L with DaZ teacher.
Employment starts on April 20, 2026. The position is limited due to the maternity leave of the current holder until July 5, 2026.
Requirements
You have completed training as a teacher or are in training for it. You enjoy working in a team and are open to collaboration at the 1st/2nd grade level on site.
We Offer
Good cooperation and support from the existing class team. The rooms are bright and spacious. Open ear and support from the school management. On Thursday noon, the school’s own indoor pool can be used for swimming. Good accessibility of the school by public transport.
