As an IT Provider Manager, you are responsible for managing and further developing your assigned providers/suppliers throughout the entire contract cycle.
Main tasks
- Participation in the development and implementation of policies and processes in the sourcing area as well as support in procurement procedures.
- Support and further development of supplier relationships, assistance with contract reviews, and management of volumes in coordination with contract owners
- Collection and documentation of business needs, consulting in the preparation of specifications considering public procurement law
- Obtaining, checking, and evaluating offers, coordination with procurement offices, and preparation of cost and billing models
- Conducting service management meetings, negotiating and monitoring SLAs, and preparing management reports on costs, quality, and risks
- Identification and assessment of risks in sourcing, initiation of countermeasures, and appropriate use of escalation paths
Profile
- Advanced training in business informatics (HF, FH or university) or a related field of study or comparable education and training
- Several years of experience in provider management, preferably with a focus on applications
- Solid user knowledge of public procurement and contract law is an advantage (willingness to learn is expected)
- Strong numerical skills, interconnected thinking, and convincing communication
- Highly solution-oriented, structured, pragmatic, and independent working style
- Very good German skills (C2) and good English skills, French skills are an advantage
