The Construction, Sewer, and Watercourse Maintenance team is part of the Operations and Maintenance division and is responsible for the care, preservation, and cleaning of wastewater and hydraulic engineering facilities and roads. This primarily includes the maintenance of the sewer systems, pumping stations, and wells of the city of Thun.

We are looking for a candidate starting August 1, 2026, or by agreement

• You will work in the team on all maintenance and cleaning tasks of all wastewater systems and wells
• Your duties also include the maintenance of watercourses, including stream reinforcements, bank protection systems, and sediment collectors
• Furthermore, you will provide on-call service in the wastewater and hydraulic engineering areas and, in winter, also in snow removal and ice control

• A completed vocational training (EBA) in a manual profession
• A category B driving license is mandatory, as well as experience handling machinery, ideally with a flushing device
• Besides your reliability and physical resilience, it is important to us that you are willing to work in sometimes narrow channels

• A varied field of activity throughout the entire municipal area of the beautiful city of Thun
• The employer provides personal protective equipment, work clothes (including washing), and a black-and-white wardrobe
• In addition to the salary, you will receive a sewer service allowance for work in the sewer, and for on-call duty and weekend deployments, there is a contemporary compensation in salary and/or time
