Join the Marketing Group at the University of Basel to advance research on synthetic data. In an Innosuisse project with Boomerang Ideas, SBB, and gfs.bern, you will collaborate with Dr. Andrea Bublitz to develop and validate LLM-assisted pipelines that reduce data-collection costs while maintaining validity for marketing and opinion research.
Your position
- Design, implement, and evaluate large-language-model (LLM) pipelines for synthetic data (fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation [RAG], prompt engineering).
- Plan and analyze survey experiments to validate LLM outputs.
- Develop field studies with industry partners.
- Publish in peer-reviewed outlets; present at international conferences.
- Enjoy protected research time to pursue independent research interests.
Your profile
- Required: PhD in Marketing/Business/ Analytics (or a related field); strong statistical background; proficiency in Python; fluent English.
- Preferred: experience with LLMs (open/closed source), API integration, fine-tuning/RAG; survey/experimental research.
