What you can achieve
- Technical responsibility and lead for the roadmap "Scaling Digital Pathology 2026", including coordination of digitization initiatives
- Further development and support of the application landscape (SECTRA, pathology information systems, AI implementation, digital microscopy)
- Ensuring stable and secure operation of the system landscape as well as interface integration (HL7, DICOM, genomics, laboratory data)
- Close collaboration with pathologists, laboratory teams, and research to implement digital workflows and translate new developments
- Independent management and implementation of strategic projects in the field of digital pathology
What you bring
- Completed studies in computer science, medical informatics, or a comparable education with experience in software architecture and development (Python, databases, Windows/Linux, networks)
- Knowledge in data science, bioinformatics/AI as well as in implementing complex software architectures
- Experience with clinical applications in hospital environments, ideally in pathology or with image management systems
- Analytical and structured working style, high initiative, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Very good German skills as well as technical English
