The Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs is one of seven directorates of the Zurich Government Council. Our extremely broad field of activity ranges from law enforcement to cultural promotion. The legal service in the General Secretariat supports the head in the management and supervision of the directorate, processes legal remedies, supports the administrative units, and leads various projects. The administration of the legal service ensures smooth administrative and organizational processes.
As a sick leave replacement in the administration team of the legal service, we are looking for a clerk from May 1, 2026, or by arrangement, limited until December 31, 2026.
These tasks await you
- Independent administrative support of the legal service, e.g., in appeal procedures, deadline control, sending correspondence and orders, etc.
- Administrative management of digital and physical business administration (CMI Axioma)
- Responsibility for the cantonal rent forms (checking the forms, issuing permits, answering questions)
- Telephone service and providing written information
You bring with you
- Completed commercial training (EFZ) or comparable professional training with several years of professional experience; administrative knowledge and/or experience in a legal environment is an advantage
- Reliable, team-oriented personality with quick comprehension, organizational skills, and affinity for legal issues
- Ability to switch between routine and special tasks in different teams and organize independently according to priorities
- Precise, structured, and independent working style as well as fluent and stylistically confident expression in German (spoken and written)
- Good IT user skills (Microsoft Office products, Axioma knowledge is an advantage)
