Style Expert

We are looking for a Style Expert to join the CHANEL boutique in Zurich.  

The position is a permanent contract beginning MAY 2026 and is based in Zurich.  

 ABOUT THE ROLE IN BOUTIQUE  

Creation is at the heart of Maison CHANEL and its fashion heritage. As the client journey evolves and becomes more personal, it is expanding beyond collections and products. To offer a unique CHANEL client experience and match their ever-increasing expectations, our retail teams, especially local ones, are our brand ambassadors. Through their personalized approach and human touch, they ought to provide personalized and custom style advice, steering each client towards finding their unique Style and Allure at CHANEL.   

WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL  

As a Style Expert, you act as the « Style relay » in the boutique between the Style Expertise Manager and the Style Advisor and / or Fashion Advisors (FAs). Thanks to your luxury fashion flair, styling skills and sophistication, you work as a Style Consultant with Clients mainly focusing on wardrobe appointments and styling sessions. You also mentor the Style Advisors (if any) and the Fashion Advisors and play a key role in elevating the styling competencies in your boutique.   

ENGAGE CLIENTS WITH THE STYLE OF CHANEL  

• Deliver expert styling advice linked to the Style of CHANEL & the style of the collection  

• Inspire clients to explore styles beyond their usual preferences  

• Provide a style service to clients with a primarily focus on wardrobe appointments  

• Lead elevated and personalized client styling appointments, the Art of Styling Moments, from the preparation to the execution  

• Participate in various boutique events as a style referent   

• Partner with Boutique management peers to build yearly plan and support business from a styling point of view   

• Be proactive in suggesting ways to promote statement pieces and slow movers, working closely with the Style Expertise Manager  

ELEVATE THE STYLING COMPETENCIES IN BOUTIQUE & MENTOR STYLE ADVISORS / FASHION ADVISORS 

• Work closely with the Style expertise manager in developing and supporting the team in styling  

• Lead styling activities in your boutique to convey the style expertise content (the Style of CHANEL and of the collections) through regular practice   

• Animate Style collection workshops at the time of launch and throughout the collection selling period  

• Monitor the internal styling app, the Fashion Community, for the users of your boutique and suggest best practices Support Style Advisors / FAs in preparing their clients’ appointments   

• Coach Style Advisors and FAs through one-to-one sessions  

• Provide frequent and constructive feedback to Style Advisors FAs and suggest yearly development plan Identify talents with styling skills   

• Rotate in boutiques w/o Style experts  

INFLUENCE BOUTIQUE BUYS FROM AN ALLURE PERSPECTIVE  

• During buying session: participate in decoding the collection and gather feedback from the team on the allure of the collection  

• Review the buys with the boutique management team to ensure the allure of the show is well represented, for the clients of today and tomorrow  

• Participate actively in all post-buy Meetings and help Style Expertise Manager to share suggestions from a Styling perspective with the rest of the team

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:  

• You have at least 5 years of experience in Fashion luxury retail environment  

• You have excellent communication skills  

• You show empathy  

• You like to work in team, and you show strong team spirit   

• You are trustworthy with a high degree of integrity and ethics  

• You are decisive and performance oriented  

• You have a passion for client experience, luxury and beauty  

• You are an ambassador of the CHANEL allure (posture and vocabulary)  

• You speak German and English
