The Justice Execution and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 women and men with diverse professional profiles. JuWe is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For the employees of JuWe, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes and the prevention of recidivism is of particular importance.
The Main Department of Investigative Prisons Zurich (UGZ) - one of seven main departments of JuWe - currently operates seven prisons for investigative and security detention. The Zurich prison, with its 135 places, is the largest investigative prison in the Canton of Zurich and plays an important role in the transfer of temporarily detained persons from Zurich West prison as well as in their distribution to the individual facilities of the prisons in the Canton of Zurich.

- You take responsibility for the care, counseling, and guidance of our inmates, always in accordance with our duty of care
- When things get tense, you are there. You resolve crisis situations with a cool head and ensure a harmonious prison daily routine
- Your support in promoting personal development is irreplaceable and an important step on the path of the incarcerated towards reintegration
- Safety is our top priority. As part of passive security, you monitor the control center with all safety facilities and coordinate calmly and purposefully in emergencies
- Administrative tasks are also part of the job: you write reports, document events, and thus contribute to the smooth operation of our facility
- Show courage and commitment in the further development of our operation. Your ideas and your efforts are needed to create something new together
This is what you bring
- A federal certificate of competence, a (specialized) maturity, or a comparable qualification is your ticket
- You express yourself proficiently in German, both in writing and orally, and can communicate well in at least one other language
- MS Office is not an enemy, but a friend
- Flexibility is a matter of course for you. Whether shift, weekend, night, or special services - you are ready for action
- A clean record is required (no entries in the criminal record and debt collection register)
- A minimum age of 25 years is required
- A high level of resilience and pronounced resilience complete your profile
