Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages more than 40 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva and has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, offering outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ is composed of 500 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a certified educator for its home Les Écureuils Guéry , which accommodates adolescents aged 15 to 18 on a medium and long-term basis.
Job Description
Your role will notably consist of:
- Providing educational support and accompaniment within a multidisciplinary team, to adolescents aged 15 to 18 living in the home
- Preparing young people for autonomy by supporting them in daily learning, progressive responsibility-taking, and integration
- Being open to the pedagogy of connection and development and establishing an educational relationship based on trust, emotional regulation, and valuing each young person's potential
- Working closely with placement services and families
- Actively participating in team meetings, network meetings, and supervisions.
Job Specifics
- Irregular working hours (including nights and weekends).
Activity rate : 85%
Contract duration : May 1, 2026
Contract type : Permanent contract (CDI)
Grade : 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
- Bachelor in social work (HETS) or Diploma of social educator (ES) or university bachelor (field related to social work) with one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE
- Foreign diplomas: requirement of official recognition by SEFRI (or an equivalent recognized body)
- HETS trainer practitioner diploma, or willingness to follow the training (CAS/PF)
- Significant prior experience in the educational field with young adolescents
- Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to diverse audiences
- Autonomy, team spirit, and initiative
- Knowledge and strong interest in nautical activities and equipment maintenance as educational supports
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social network
- Excellent writing skills in French.
Additional Information
Possession of a driving license (B)
Boat license (sailing and/or motor) is a plus
Be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
