Ferring+You
As part of the Ferring strategy to strengthen its Biologics portfolio, you will be part of the Cell Sciences team within the Ferring Biologic Innovation Center (FBIC). An essential step in the manufacturing cell line development activities is to demonstrate monoclonality of the cell line selected. If the performance of the clone is key for commercial viability of the product, its clonality is equally important as requested by the Regulatory Authorities.
State of the art technologies can ensure >99% clonality, however this Supplier’s claim needs to be validated independently by the sponsor of the project. In this respect, you will be in charge to assess the monoclonality assurance of the process in place. The activities will be lab based for the cell cultivation basics, transfection, selection, printing and imaging of the cells. Statistic evaluation of the results will be performed to confirm performance of the process and reported in a formal report.

- Perform basic cell culture, work aseptically under laminar flow hood.
- Training on state-of-the-art equipment following protocols.
- Participate to project planning and execution of tasks under supervision
- Report and present the outcomes to different audiences.
- Participate in the organization of the laboratory in a lean, efficient, and smart way.
- Be accountable for your work and working environment.

The typical candidate for this role is a master or bachelor student in Biology, Bioprocessing (Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related field).
It will be beneficial for the candidate to demonstrate all or some of the skills, competences, and experiences below:
- Basic knowledge and interest in cell line development, cell line engineering and molecular biology
- At ease with aseptic work under laminar flow hood and sensibilized about contamination prevention.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
- Communicate orally and in writing fluently in English.
- Proactive and dynamic.
- Be curious and interested to have an experience in an industrial set-up
