The Serviceplan Group Switzerland is responsible within the House of Communications for all services such as finance, human resources, reception, and IT of the subsidiary agencies Serviceplan and Mediaplus. A total of around 50 employees work in the House of Communication in Zurich, worldwide there are over 6,000.
Our controller is taking maternity leave, so we are looking for a replacement from July 2026 to spring 2027
Financial Controller 80% - 100% (Maternity Cover)
Your Tasks
In this versatile role, you are responsible for controlling, accounting, and administrative tasks of your assigned business areas. You ensure transparent financial processes and support management and units with analyses and reporting:
1. Controlling
- Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Participation in budgeting, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Preparation and presentation of revenue monitoring
- Ongoing recording and analysis of liquidity planning
- Creation of ad-hoc analyses and management reports
- Optimization and further development of controlling processes
- Collaboration with headquarters and internal stakeholders
- Preparation of documents for internal and external audits
2. Accounting
- Execution and monitoring of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable accounting
- Management of dunning processes and ensuring an efficient payment process
- Preparation and control of payment runs
- Ensuring a correct approval process
3. Administrative Tasks
- Support with administrative activities in the finance area
- Point of contact for questions about SAP and Teambox (ERP system)
What You Bring
- Commercial training with further education as a specialist in finance and accounting with a federal diploma or a completed degree in business administration, finance, or controlling
- At least 3 years of experience in controlling or finance is mandatory
- Good knowledge of Excel and ideally experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Power BI)
- Analytical thinking skills and a structured, independent working style
- Team player with high initiative and strong communication skills
- High willingness to learn and interest in new challenges
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, English skills are an advantage
