About the job

• Together with 15 employees and partners, you shape and influence socio-cultural topics and concerns in Bern
• You strategically develop the socio-culture department further, create future-oriented concepts in the areas of child and youth promotion as well as community work, and are actively involved in political processes
• You promote collaboration between service contract partners, the city, and various other actors and build sustainable cooperations
• As a member of the management team of Family & Neighborhood City of Bern, you effectively contribute your expertise and leadership skills
• You assume the deputy role of the department head

• Completed higher education or degree in the social field – or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Passion for promoting equal opportunities, participation, and respectful coexistence of all population groups – with a focus on children, youth, and young adults
• Interest in social neighborhood development and political processes as well as understanding of public administration
• Proven leadership experience combined with innovative strength, enthusiasm for shaping, and strategic thinking
• Experience in effectively implementing projects and processes together with internal and external partners
